Rules & Regulations

  1. Eligible BicyclesOnly road bicycles and time trial (TT) bicycles are permitted for this event.
  2. Start ProcedureRiders will start individually at fixed time intervals.The starting order will be decided by the Event Organiser and may be based on seeding, rider numbers, or a random draw.All riders must report to the start area at least 3 minutes before their assigned start time.
  3. Starting AssistanceAn official may steady a rider at the start line. However, riders must begin under their own power and may not receive any push or propulsion.
  4. No RestartOnce a rider has started, no restart will be permitted under any circumstances.
  5. Course RulesRiders must remain on the left side of the road at all times and follow the designated race route.Traffic rules and instructions from race officials or law enforcement must be obeyed throughout the event.
  6. Drafting ProhibitedDrafting is strictly forbidden.Riders must maintain a minimum gap of 25 metres behind another competitor and at least 2 metres to the side when passing.
  7. Support VehiclesOnly support vehicles authorised by the Race Referee or Event Organiser are permitted on the course.Approved support vehicles may carry spare wheels, bicycles, and repair equipment.Support vehicles must remain at least 10 metres behind the rider, except when the rider has stopped with one foot on the ground.
  8. Feeding & Outside AssistanceNo food, drinks, equipment, or other supplies may be handed to a rider while on the course.Mechanical assistance is permitted only in the event of a genuine equipment failure.
  9. Safety EquipmentAn approved cycling helmet must be worn and securely fastened at all times while on the course.Riders are responsible for ensuring that their bicycles are in safe and roadworthy condition.
  10. SportsmanshipRiders must compete fairly, respect fellow competitors, race officials, volunteers, and road users.Any rider found violating the rules or engaging in unsafe or unsporting behaviour may receive a time penalty or be disqualified at the discretion of the Race Referee.
  11. Final DecisionThe decisions of the Race Referee and Event Organising Committee shall be final in all matters relating to the event.
